Twisted Kitten: February Devil Girl Valentine of the Month 2017

Well, hello there, Gang! It’s your old friend The Primal Root and I am eager to introduce to you our exquisite, ravishing, Devil Girl for the Month of February, a blood drenched Valentine just for you, Twisted Kitten! Her spread is certain to get your heart beating right out of your rib cage, ladies and gents…BUT, before we feast our evil eyes, let’s get to know our latest member of The Trash Cinema Collective’s Devil Girl Warriors…

The Primal Root: What appealed to you about the concept of ripping your own heart out of your chest? You certainly made it look quite pleasant!
Twisted Kitten: I love special effects and when Kayla said I was going to be ripping my heart I couldn’t help but be excited. I think it takes a whole new meaning to “eat your heart out”. Thank you, it was rather delicious. And hey if who knew it taste that could, I’d rather eat it then let a guy break it. 😜

Root: Twisted Kitten, could you please tell us a little about yourself? Your passions, what inspires you? How do you keep it Trashy?

Twisted Kitten: I’m college student, my major is in graphic design. But I’m heavily into cosmetology, I love to dye my hair crazy colors. Actually died it red for this shoot. I’m also a Special effects artist and have been doing it for about 5 years, that’s actually how Kayla and I met. I’ve always been into gore. I swear sometimes I think Netflix will run out of horror movies for me. I can’t get enough of those crazy slashers and gruesome thrillers. Bloods never bothered me, in fact I think it’s intriguing. That’s probably another reason I was into this shoot it involved rubbing “blood” on me. I guess you could say I’m a little “TWISTED”. But I’m not all creepy, I also love art and creating it myself. I love to draw and paint and nature usually inspires especially trees I love how their branches intertwine.

Root: So, we just endured the traditional  Hallmark Holiday, Valentine’s Day. What are some of your favorite Trashy Anti-Valentine’s Day flicks you like to bust out on February 14th?
Twisted Kitten: Probably the same as most people the classic anti- Valentine’s Day movie the original My Bloody Valentine from the 80s. The new one is pretty cool to but can’t beat the original right. Besides I’ve always loved older films anyway, probably because my parents grew up in the 80s and they love showing me moves and songs they used to see and hear. I also think Valentines is a good trashy movie to watch on Valentine’s Day. There’s also a more recent movie that I’ll probably start watching on all the holidays to be honest. It’s called Holidays and it’s several segments put together for one movie and it’s a horror story inspired by each holiday. Very cool. Very trashy.
Root: What song would you pick to accompany your Devil Girl spread?

Twisted Kitten: Well at first I was thinking something sexy but while looking for a song a came across something even better. Eat your heart out Annie by the Jodimars. It’s just too perfect. It’s cute valentines-y swing song. I love swing dancing used to know it pretty well when I was younger.
Root: Do you have any filthy words of wisdom for the Trash Cinema Collective hoping to be a Devil Girl/Guy one day?

Twisted Kitten: I think if you want to be a Devil Girl/Guy you should go for it. You should be proud of your body, everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way, hey I look good with blood on my butt, you just have to find something that makes you proud to be you. You also don’t have to be naked to be desiring and tantalizing. Sometimes a little imagination is better. So don’t let that stop you; everyone was very supportive and liked me covering more than the other Devil Girl/Guys. Thank you Trash Cinemas for the opportunity to be part of the trashy family 🙂

Root: Twisted Kitten, it is our absolute pleasure to welcome you to The Trash Cinema Collective! Thank you so much for gracing us with this gorgeous, dark and seductive Bloody Valentine. ❤

Shannon Stockin aka: Michelle Macabre; February Devil Girl of the Month (2014)

Well, hello there, Gang! It’s your friend The Primal Root, and this Valentine’s Day we’ve got quite a treat in store for you! One I’m sure will get your heart pounding and your loins aching in the most pleasant way imaginable, feast your eyes on the magnificent, the gorgeous, the wicked Shannon Stockin aka: Michelle Macabre and her damn fine Valentine’s Day Devil Girl set! A vision of beauty and dominance, it’s no wonder she manages to tempt and seduce unsuspecting suitors so easily, transforming them into the unwitting love slaves. Look on and enjoy with caution my friends, then again, perhaps you’d like to give in? And be subjected to the twisted pleasures of Michelle Macabre…

The Primal Root: First off, we gotta know what your favorite Trash Cinema film is, you can always tell a lot about a person by where they tastes in trash reside…

Michelle Macabre:  I’d have to say The Toxic Avenger, and Frankenhooker… Couldn’t narrow it down to just one 🙂

TPR:  Tell us a little bit about yourself. What are you into? What are your passions and hobbies.? Working on any projects The Collective should keep their eyes peeled for?

MM: I love to do cosplay modeling for various horror conventions , Displaying the costumes I make , also I love to model for horror websites , merchandise or for promotions of their sites 🙂 I also have a passion for doing special fX horror makeup , which I dabble in quite frequently 🙂

TPR: How did you go about putting your photo spread together? What was your inspiration?

MM: The idea came to me as being this ” bitchy” princess , and a dumb jock trying to win my love for Valentines day. But little did he know that he would become not my lover,  but my slave… Hence the “dumb jock” stereotype!

TPR:  What flick will you be watching this Valentine’s Day?

MM:  I’d have to say My Bloody Valentine.. I really do love that movie , trash , blood, gore … What could be better ?

TPR:  Any juicy, strange or unusual Valentine’s Day stories you’d care to share with The Collective?

MM: I don’t have anything really strange…Well, except the one time someone I didn’t even know was asking me to marry them… That turned out to be a practical joke from a friend. That’s freaking weird and strange! LOL !

TPR: Well, I have a feeling you might need to brace yourself for some more wedding proposals once The Collective gets a look at your Valentine’s Day Devil Girl spread. Thank your for the outstanding photos and taking the time to chat with us! Have a Trashy Valentine’s Day, Gang, and sink your teeth into these pics of the lovely Michelle Macabre!

Stay Trashy!

Desda “Mae Q” Moana, Valentine’s Day Devil Girl of the Month

Primal Root:  Ms. Moana, please, introduce yourself to The Collective and tell us just what you’re all about.

Desda “Mae Q” Moana: Hey there, Collective, I’m Desda “Mae Q” Moana. I’m a burlesque artist, theater and film actor, and vintage pin up/fetish model in Indianapolis, Indiana. I’m geeked to be the newest Devil Girl, as this kind of shit just melts my butter. Thank you for asking me to come and play in your little world. I like it here.

Root:  Well, Desda, it is an honor to play with you. Do you mind sharing with us what your inspiration was for your Valentine’s Day Devil Girl set?
Moana: The genius minds behind Firepuss Productions were the inspiration for this shoot. You said trash, they said “cheap ass hotel in nowhere, Indiana.” Well, first, we wanted to do a PBR and trailer park theme, but seeing as it’s January, we’re holding off till warmer weather. I’ll get you those pics in a few months. 🙂 We wanted sex and blood. We wanted cheese. I approached Lady Riot, a fellow burlesque artist and photographer, with the idea to do a trashy horror shoot and she just ran with it. Her photog, Brian Hornbuckle, and loving husband, Jonny Voodoo were kind enough to come on the journey with us. Although Jonny got more nervous about my boobs in his face than the small knives near his carotids.

Root: I can understand, you do possess a very serious set of boobs, Desda. Now, I hope you don’t mind me getting a bit more intimate…What are some of your favorite Trash flicks?
Moana: I am a child of the 80’s so my favorites are slashers that attempt plot but fail miserably: My Bloody Valentine is my favorite of all time. So much so that for our Valentine’s Day show, I am currently developing a burlesque act as Harry. Gas Mask? Check. Pickaxe? Check. That’s my kinda Happy Heart day. I also loved anything with the words Camp, Sleepaway, Sorority, or Hell in the title. If sweet little things were going to their death, a psycho was stalking them, and there would be running in the woods in very little clothing? I was all about it. Even better if the plot included lesbian overtones, cross dressing, or gender confusion.

Root: Ms. Moana, you’re gonna fit in just fine around these parts. You;re a natural born Devil Girl. For the sake of The Collective, where can our followers go to see more of you? What projects are you working on and may we pimp any of your sites?

Moana:  Angel Burlesque is my hometeam: www.angelburlesque.com. I am a founding member, and part of the management team. If you’re in the Indy area, check us out. We perform in various venues several times a year. I will also be performing in burlesque festivals around the Midwest this year, and am always available to teach workshops or perform. I get to perform at Gen Con again in August with Chicago’s Glitter Guild…doing Geek burlesque makes my heart happy.

I have a few films being released this year: Scalene, with Margo Martindale is hitting Netflix soon, and Three Tears on Bloodstained Flesh, a Giallo styled horror, will be released later this year.

The biggest GEEK OUT I am anticipating is performing at the VIP party for Days of the Dead Con in Indy, July 6-8th. I am doing my Harry Tribute and a creepy doll routine to an ICP song. And? Kane Hodder and Gunnar Hansen seeing me do my thang? I may just pee a little, I’m just sayin’.

Root: I am you will pull a role reversal on those two boogeymen and have their hearts racing when they see you perform in July. Well, Desda “Mae Q” Moana, it is an honor and a privilege to have you featured as our Valentine’s Day Devil Girl. Thank your for your hard work and for keeping it Trashy.

April Devil Girl of the Month: Sarah Snyder

We all know good and well to stay away from the coal mines on Valentine’s Day in the small town of Valentine Bluff. We know the legend of old Harry Warden who is said to haunt those mines seeking vengeance if anyone should celebrate the Valentine’s holiday again… But then there’s another legend…one about a beautiful female miner who stalks those same dark corridors. One who is just as quick to stick a pick-axe through your melon as she is to give you a smile…We’ve come to calling her Harriet Warden. And unlike Harry, she will rip the still beating heart out of your chest any day of the year…

Sarah Snyder has appeared in such films as Scarlet Rain, Dead Woman’s Hollow (www.deadwomanshollow.com), and the upcoming Ghoul Society and Night of the Living Dead (www.facebook.com/NOTLD2012).

I had the opportunity to ask Sarah why she happens to be such an intense fan of the horror genre. Here’s her response: I have been a huge horror fan since I was literally like 4 years old.  I used to stay up late on the weekends with my dad and he would let me watch USA’s Up All Night with Rhonda Shear.  It would usually be Friday the 13th or Halloween marathons, sometimes stuff like Motel Hell.  Just awesome 70’s and 80’s flicks that even at a young age I completely adored them.  My parents always let me see blood and guts, I would have to close my eyes when there was nudity, but they explained all the blood and stuff was fake, and I understood that, so I always loved all the creative kills and all the blood and gore. I love special FX the most in films, like oldschool practical FX, not CGI.  I get that CGI and practical FX together can look great, but I like seeing a good practical gag the most.  I love all sorts of horror, I have a collection of over 2000 horror dvds, seriously.  I probably only own 10 dvds that aren’t considered horror.  My house is plastered with horror movie posters and memoribillia, seriously, even in my kitchen and living room the walls cannot be seen because I have so many posters up.  I decorate like a 16 year old boy would, but it’s what I love   I started acting about 6 years ago and I strictly act in horror films, because that is what I love.  I will turn down a drama or a comedy any day, but I will never turn down a horror movie if I feel the part is right for me.

Enjoy Sarah’s slasher themed Devil Girl spread and be sure to give her a warm welcome to the Trash Cinema Collective.

Stay Trashy,

-The Primal Root
