(NSFW) Exotic Zombie: Halloween Devil Girl 2016

Gang, as I am sure you’re well aware, the glorious dark, yearly celebratory evening of Halloween is upon us. Tomorrow night we release or inhibitions, unleash the monsters within and present to the world our other side. The strange, bizarre and often macabre side that society at large so often frowns upon. The Night of Halloween represents to so many of us a form of freedom and pleasure unrivaled by any other holiday. An evening of indulgence. And this filthy beast can imagine no more fitting expression of the excitement, the beauty or the creepy wonder of our favorite holiday here at The Trash Cinema Collective than with an astounding new spread from our gorgeous Devil Girl, Exotic Zombie as The Mistress of the Dark, herself, Elvira! This Halloween Devil Girl spread is all treat and not trick as Exotic Zombie gives us one very dark, sensual and ridiculously fun spread!  Let’s get SPOOPY, Gang!

The Primal Root: Exotic Zombie, you have gone and beyond this year! First, your spot on Frankenhooker spread for Valentine’s Day and now, as our 2016 Halloween Devil Girl, you’ve given us a seductive, sensual, spoopy Elvira spread sure to get our Trash Cinema Collective Member’s popcorn poppin’! You’re one hard working Devil Girl, EZ. 😀

TPR: What drew you to the character of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark for this shoot?

Exotic Zombie: Halloween! It’s my favorite time of year! The misty foggy mornings, the evenings cool enough for horror flicks and fire gatherings, and most of all the welcoming mood of all things spooky and weird, like myself… Who better to portray than the Maiden of Macabre, Elvira! When I found my outfit at The Other Side Vintage, tried it on, and got a crazy reaction from friends on Facebook, I discovered what it’s like to have big… hair. Who doesn’t love that kind of attention!?

TPR: Where did you shoot this spread? The sets are creepy as Hell!
EZ: I became reacquainted with the owner of the local haunted house during an interview, I took a tour at their new location and I was inspired by several creepy nooks and webbed corners. Terror of Tallahassee has been around for 18 years and it was such an honor to use the facility that has become such a yearly local tradition!

TPR: Any fun or interesting stories you can share with us about your spooktacular Devil Girl spread?
EZ: As a photographer, I very rarely end up on the other side of the camera. I always start out nervous. Elvira has such an eclectic and bubbly personality, it was really easy to get into character and feel comfortable. It was even easier getting out of clothes!!! Warehouses typically don’t have air conditioning and things tend to get hot and steamy when there’s a 5 man crew, 2 cameras being passed around, and several lights heating up the room!
For a sexy spooky shoot like this, my biggest advice would be to avoid fog machines in small and non ventilated areas… and keep the nipple jewelry simple when wearing metal webs on your breasts!

TPR: So, with Halloween approaching, what horror movies or creepy shows do you plan on watching on that most filthiest of days? Also, what sugary treats will you be munching on as you let the horrific cinema wash over you?
EZ: I try to squeeze in as much horror as possible every day of the year! My must sees for the month of October consists of: Hocus Pocus, 28 Days and Weeks Later, Thirteen Ghosts, Young Frankenstein, and Trick R Treat is a new additions! The perfect treat for this ghoul during the best time of year would have to be pumpkin seeds, baked fresh from a new monsterpiece carving!

TPR: What are you dressing up as for Trashyween this year? Any mischief planned for the big night?

EZ: My closet is FILLED with monsters! If I could dress up every day of the month, I may not even be able to exhibit them all. I have had several requests to appear as Elvira at parties and even a wedding! I am honored to portray such a classic icon for all things dark and spooky!

TPR: If you could pick one song to be the soundtrack for your Devil Girl spread, what would it be?

I wanted to pick something less traditional or stereotypical this Halloween. Nightcall is the perfect selection for conjuring the darkness from within.

TPR: Okay, one last question, is it cool if I call you “Mistress of the Dark” in person?

Any day of the year! 😉

I would like to give credit to all of those who were involved with this amazingly spooktacular set! This wouldn’t be so epic without you all!

(NSFW) Liquid NitroJeanne, Halloween Devil Girl 2015

TRASHY HALLOWEEN, GANG! It’s your pal, The Primal Root here and i am thrilled to pieces to be introducing you to our Halloween Devil Girl for 2015,Liquid NitroJeanne! It looks like her Halloween evening is getting off to an eventful start with a visit from The Boogeyman himself, Mr. Michael Myers. But Before we delve into her sexy, naughty, devilish trick or treating sex party, let’s ask the lovely Liquid NitroJean a few getting to know you questions…

ROOT:Liquid NitroJeanne, we’re honored to have you as our Halloween Devil Girl 2015! May we ask what you’re looking forward to most this Halloween?

Nitro: The pleasure is all mine!! This Halloween, I’m looking forward to spooking the neighborhood trick-or-treaters and consuming mass quantities of sugary delights from mysterious sources — razor blades, anyone?

ROOT: How was it having to seduce The Boogeyman, Michael Myers, The shape for this year’s Halloween spread? Was the guy one tough cookie or easy to win over? Any tips for the ladies and / or fellas out there?

Nitro: Seducing Mikey was a real treat. Sure, he was a little distant at first, but I’ve found that every boogeyman really just wants to be loved. My advice to all the gals & ghouls out there is to let the monster in, feed your demons, and enjoy the ride!

ROOT: What are some of your favorite scary movies to watch around Halloween? Any recommendations?

Nitro: Of course I’ll always love the standard classics. Personal favorites include “The Shining” and the original “Psycho” with Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates. Kubrick & Hitchcock manipulate suspense in such a brilliant and beautiful way! (Fun fact: my cat’s full name is Simon Anthony Purrkins.) If you really wanna get mind-fucked, though, I recommend the 1979 flick, “Phantasm,” or any South Korean horror films, like “The Doll Master.” Yikes!

ROOT: If you could pick one song to be the soundtrack to your Halloween Devil Girl spread, what would it be?

Nitro: Nina Simone’s version of “I Put a Spell on You” wink emoticon

DAMN fine selection,Liquid NitroJeanne! Well, Gang, without any further a due, sink your teeth into the slasher seduction depravity of Halloween Devil Girl,Liquid NitroJeanne! Oh, and of course, have a Trashy Halloween!

Mistress Paine; Halloween Devil Girl 2013

HALLOWEEN, GANG! Well, it’s that most magical day of the year, the day when the barrier between the living and the dead is thinnest, when we all get to put on disguises and roam the streets without getting arrested, that day when it’s socially acceptable to bang on complete strangers doors and beg for candy! That’s right, Halloween, or All Hallow’s Eve or Samhain, whichever you wish to call it is kosher in my book.  Well, one very sexy treat has been offered to us this Halloween in the form of a colorful, spooky and sultry set from the lovely Mistress Paine! Before we unwrap this sickeningly sweet piece of sugary confection, how’s about a little getting to know you chit-chat, hmm?

The Primal Root: Tell us a little bit about yourself. What kind of stuff are you into?

Mistress Paine: I really enjoy modeling but my focus right now is going to be to go back to school to be a vet assistant caring for animals has always been a passion of mine but for now in my free time i spend a lot of time with my best friend shawn and my bf2. As our Halloween Devil Girl, I was wondering which horror flicks you might be watching this October 31st?

PR: As our Halloween Devil Girl, I was wondering which horror flicks you might be watching this October 31st?

MP: This Halloween I’m going old school its not much of a horror but a favorite classic earnest scared stupid is my movie choice.

PR: What song would you recommend The Gang listen to while admiring your lovely Devil Girl set?

MP: A good song of choice to listen to while admiring my photos would have to be Head Like a Hole.

PR: What’s the scariest damn movie you’ve ever seen? What made it so frightening?

MP: Hmmm scariest movie I’ve ever seen is a tough one but id have to go with volcano as corny as it is when it boils down to it there isn’t a damn thing you can do to stop a volcano just get out of its way

PR:  When you’re out Trick or Treating Halloween night what sweet is sure to put a smile on your face?

Bootsie Kidd: Halloween Devil Girl of the Month, October 2012 with special guest The Primal Root

Hey Gang! Your old pal The Primal Root here and I am smitten. Ms. Bootsie Kidd, our October Devil Girl of the Month (2012) has come along and captured the trashy heart of yours truly. In Bootsie’s Halloween spread she has brought to life an updated rockabilly/video store nerd version of  one of our shared passions, Universal’s classic monster flick, James Whale’s 1935 masterpiece, The Bride of Frankenstein.  As some of you might know, I’m quite bit enamored with this Ms. Bootsie Kidd, but I don’t think I am being partial when I say her incredibly spooky, sexy, and assertive take on Frankenstein’s Bride (Elsa, as we like to call her for obvious reasons)  brings a cool new dimension to the iconic character. She has surely brought The primal Root back to life, and I have a feeling she’ll jump start your heart as well. Friend. Good. Indeed!

Stay Trashy and Happy Halloween!

The Primal Root’s Halloween Special Part 2 – Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers

Halloween 05

Hey Gang!

Well, the big day is almost here and just in time for Halloween we have our second Halloween Special Rotten Review!

In this installment we are taking a look at a pretty notoriously bad piece of Halloween Trash Cinema. I’s the fifth film in the beleaguer Halloween franchise. That’s right, we’re taking a look at Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers.

Prepare yourself for obnoxious overacting middle aged teenyboppers, insane child therapists, shacks that time forgot, grizzled pirates, the bogeyman floating the Illinois rapids, young children getting run over, adults abandoning troubled children to PAR-TAY, the most painful condom in history, sex with pants on, cowboys from hell, and slightly homo-erotic doctor/patient death scene.

John Carpenter redefined not only horror, but the culture of Halloween in America back in 1978 with the release of Halloween. And man, they’ve been trying to destroy what he created ever since. With the ill conceived 5th entry Switzerland born filmmaker Dominique Othenin-Girard managed to kill off the franchise once again for about 5 years.

Join The Primal Root as he explores one of the worst sequels to any franchise ever made and get into the Halloween spirit! Trust me, we manage to turn this nastiest of tricks into quite a treat.

Stay Trashy!

All the Monsters…Trick r’ Treat

A Review by  The Primal Root

October 31st. Halloween. A holiday with roots in Celtic tradition known as Samhain, adopted by Christian’s as the holy day of All Saint’s Day and eventually made it’s foothold as a great North American Traditional celebration in 1846 when Irish immigrants brought their own versions of the celebration to us. It’s a holiday steeped in folklore, ritual, and mystery. But many of us lose sight of how important a role this day is for us. Yes, Halloween has become an enormous commercial and marketing jackpot in recent years but one must never lose sight of the true Halloween spirit. As fall sets in, as the leaves turn brown and leave barren, skeletal trees, as the temperature drops and the wind chills our bones…we are reminded that one day we too shall fade away. On this one night a year we are allowed to be whomever we’d like to be, hide behind masks, beg for candy, and be one with the spirits of those who’ve come before. Halloween is a celebration of life in the face of death.

It’s a dark celebration filled with fun, danger and excitement. And Mike Dougherty’s recently released horror anthology Trick R’ Treat evokes everything we love about Halloween. Trick R’ Treat involves several different interweaving storylines that take place on one night introducing us to some truly bizarre, memorable characters and towards some very twisted endings. It’s a film populated with ghouls, creatures, human monsters and illustrates the evil they are all capable of.

TrickrTreat Bus

The Local Legend...

The film features middle aged Halloween tricksters who ends up  down in the dirt, a vampire run amuck,  a young woman looking for just the right man for her first time, a group of children paying their respects to those who passed in a ghastly town legend, an elderly shut in who refuses to celebrate the holiday and a young woman who makes the mistake of blurting out her hatred for Halloween. All the while the short figure of Sam Hain watched from the shadows.

In this stocky, silent, central figure to the warped tales told here, Dougherty has created a new horror icon sure to take his place amongst the pantheon of cinema heavy weights  as the cult status of this film grows and the possibilities for follow ups grow stronger.

The performances here are all strong, from veteran actors such as Brian Cox (Manhunter) & Dylan Baker (Spider-Man series) who tap into some pretty nasty places for their character motivations. Also on hand are some fresh faces such as Lauren Lee Smith(CSI), Quinn Lord (as Sam) and Oscar winner Anna Paquin (TV’s True Blood) looking sexier than ever in a Little Red Riding Hood costume and sporting her dark hair from back in the day. Not to give too much away, but when Marilyn Manson’s cover of Sweet Dreams starts playing, Anna has never EVER looked sexier.

Anna Paquin is hungry for love in Trick r' Treat.

Anna Paquin is hungry for love in Trick r' Treat.

The production quality here is tight and perfectly captures the atmosphere of a whole town brimming with the Halloween spirit and I could not contain the smile that spread across my face in delight of the successful tone Trick r’ Treat sets from the first frame to the very last. I also appreciate that writer/director Mike Dougherty never once dumbs down the proceedings in order to spoon feed the audience and stays focused on delivering the greatest on screen celebration of our beloved holiday since John Carpenter’s original Halloween back in 1978.

Trick r’ Treat is a collection of some of our all time favorite classic monsters and a brilliant assortment of some new beasts to add to our cultural Halloween mythos. Trick r’ Treat is a horror classic in the making and you truly feel like you’re a part of something very special as you watch it.

trick-r-treat-Sam

Halloween spirit incarnate. Mr. Sam Hain makes a house call.

So obey the rules this Halloween, and if you’re lacking a bit of that old Halloween spirit, check out Trick r’ Treat. It will reignite that inner jack-o-lantern in no time.

Stay Trashy,

-Kevin
