(NSFW) Lady Zatanna: July Devil Girl of the Month

Hey Gang, The Primal Root here, and we are in the thick of summer. Time to get away on a relaxing vacation and escape the doldrums of your every day life and it’s mundane hassles. Just remember, it’s best to stay away from those damn tourists traps running up and down every stretch of Florida’s highways and bi-ways or you might end up losing time, money or your mind. Or…in the case of this month’s Devil Girl, the gorgeous and sultry Lady Zatanna, you could end up losing a whole lot more… Before you feast your eyes on Lady Zatanna’s sexy, alarming, cautionary spread and homage to one of the true classics of cinema, let’s get to know our Lady a bit better.

The Primal Root: Lady Zatanna, it is a pleasure to welcome you as Trash Cinema Collective’s July 2017 Devil Girl of the Month. What a gorgeous spread and you look phenomenal in it. What inspired you to recreate the shower scene from the Great Grandfather of slasher cinema,  Alfred Hitchcock’s classic Psycho?

Lady Zatanna: I recently got interested in modeling. I have always loved Jeremy’s style of photography (Dark Apple Photography) . I had never saw the movie prior to planning for this shoot. He asked me to get the feel for the scene so he let me borrow the movie; the original movie, the ’98 remake, and the biopic Hitchcock. It really got me prepped and pumped for the shoot.

PR: You know, my Mom always used to tell me that Psycho scarred her for life and that to this day she still gets creeped out when she takes a shower. Are there any horror films that traumatized you for life?

LZ: The Ring. Anytime i see the tv go to that static it always reminds me of her crawling out of the tv. I have to rush over and turn it off.

PR: Well, it is the middle of summer in Florida and it has been sufficiently stormy for some horror marathoning. Do you have any favorite summer time horror flicks or Trash Cinema picks?

LZ:  Some of my favorite horror movies are The Blob, The Exorcist, and all of the Saw movies. They never get old to me.

PR: Three questions about this spread I have gotta ask: 1. Are you really screaming? 2. If so, did it freak out the neighbors? 3. Did you use chocolate syrup for blood like good ol’ Hitchcock did when he shot that scene?

LZ: I was not actually screaming. We shot this in a duplex apartment. So the silent scream was the only way to go. Trying to hold that pose led to constantly laughing. As you can see we eventually got it though. – We did in fact use chocolate syrup. Jeremy and I tried to find every behind the scenes on Psycho. That is where we found that chocolate syrup looks significantly like blood in black and white

PR: Lady Zatanna, tell us a little bit about yourself. What are your hobbies, passions, and plans for the future?

LZ: I plan on working my ass off to get more shoots out in the open. I want to thank you Trash Cinema for giving us this opportunity. My passions include being a great mom, cooking bomb ass food, making money, and of course modeling.

PR: I see you have some gorgeous tattoos. Any plans for some in additions soon?

LZ:Unfortunately with this shoot you couldn’t tell that i have eyes on the backs of my knees. It is my newest edition. I plan on being pretty much covered eventually.

PR: As has become tradition, do you have any words of wisdom for The Trash Cinema Collective members viewing your wet, bloody, sexy and horrifying Devil Girl spread?

LZ: My words of wisdom would be to make sure you keep up with Dark Apple Photography because we have allot of new sets coming out that you wouldn’t expect. Stay positive and true to yourself.

PR: Finally, what song would you like our viewers to have ringing in their ears as the feast their eyes upon your spread?

LZ:  The song that I would choose to listen to while looking at this set is Somebody’s watching me by Rockwell.

(NSFW) Vicious Violet: November Devil Girl of the Month 2016

Hello there, Gang, it’s your friend The Primal Root here. Well, today’s election day 2016, time to cast our ballots and see what scumdog will be our next commander and chief. Well, whoever you choose, thankfully, you can take solace in the absolutely stunning, inspired and unfathomably kickass spread from The Trash Cinema Collective’s Devil Girl of the Month, the gorgeous Vicious Violet! She has created a colorful and expertly timed spread for you to feast your eyes upon this election day, Gang. As the numbers are tallied up, and desperation sinks in, remember…THEY LIVE!

The Primal Root: Incredible concept and spread, Violet! What made you think to use John Carpenter’s They Live as your subject for this incredibly sexy and colorful spread? Wouldn’t have anything to do with the upcoming election, would it?

Vicious Violet: Oh, but of course it does! I’m already a John Carpenter fan, and in my own tradition, I watch Halloween movies every day of October. So, in 2014 I watched The Thing, Halloween, and Escape from New York before stumbling across They Live, and I was hooked!! I love Twilight Zone, and felt that this particular movie was a long TZ episode; so terrible, it was glorious. Plus, the message kills me! I decided then that for my next birthday/Halloween costume would be one of these disgusting aliens attending a masquerade ball. And then being invited to be November’s Devil Girl, on the cusp of a tumultuous election year, I just knew They would have to come back for seconds to control everyone to make the right vote! Keep the Alien Overlords in Power! They Live! You Sleep! Obey!

Root: Do you feel like They Live is still relevant in 2016?

Vicious: Oh yes! It’s so creepy how relevant it is to this day. Even more so with the advances in social media–we are all subliminally trained to post updates, consume the “right” products, and compare our lives to everyone else in this little handheld computer that controls us all. I was already shocked to really think about how much media surrounds our daily lives, and all of the product placements geared to get our money. “This is your God” might as well be our currency as I see our world devolve more and more into the importance of money each individual makes, and how unfair the system truly has become. I could go on for hours about how many theories this movie has spurned in my own life and makes me wonder if They really are Living while We Sleep.

Root: I gotta ask, where did you find such a phenomenal They Live alien mask?

Vicious: Well, I am very proud to say this is a one-of-a-kind mask that I made myself. It took two months, two masks, one ping-pong ball, lots of clay, paper mache, and love. After deciding to make this my 30th birthday/Halloween costume, I started early by gathering tutorials and reference photos, looking at the few They Live cosplayers’ how-to videos out there, and took my time constructing it. I’d say this art kid did a pretty good job!

Root: How was it having your entire body covered in paint? How was it to be transformed into a spirit crushing, soul sucking alien from They Live?

Vicious: It was absolutely delightful!! Having a birthday just before Halloween, and being the weird art kid that I am, I’m no stranger to costuming and cosplay, but I must say, this one was the most intensive I’ve gone for a transformation. I couldn’t have been more comfortable in my paint, but still giggle remembering the attention to detail I received through this process. (“Think they’ll see…?” “Yeah, just go ahead and paint it.” “Okay, so, lean forward and spread ‘em…” Completely normal, yes? And what a gentleman you are, too! )

I had paint from my ears to my toenails, and am still finding blue paint in the strangest of places…but I’d do it all over again if I had the chance!

Root: What song should folks listen to while viewing your spread?

Vicious: I played Deftones Radio on Pandora the whole shoot, so I’ll suggest the same, specifically Deftones’ Knife Party, Diamond Eyes, and Passenger. Gets you into the drone-mindset with a little undertone of sexiness.

Root: Any advice to our fellow Trash Cinema Collective members as they head to the polls to cast their ballots?

Vicious: Obey. Consume. Marry and Reproduce. Honor Apathy. Vote. Stay Asleep.

(NSFW) Liquid NitroJeanne, Halloween Devil Girl 2015

TRASHY HALLOWEEN, GANG! It’s your pal, The Primal Root here and i am thrilled to pieces to be introducing you to our Halloween Devil Girl for 2015,Liquid NitroJeanne! It looks like her Halloween evening is getting off to an eventful start with a visit from The Boogeyman himself, Mr. Michael Myers. But Before we delve into her sexy, naughty, devilish trick or treating sex party, let’s ask the lovely Liquid NitroJean a few getting to know you questions…

ROOT:Liquid NitroJeanne, we’re honored to have you as our Halloween Devil Girl 2015! May we ask what you’re looking forward to most this Halloween?

Nitro: The pleasure is all mine!! This Halloween, I’m looking forward to spooking the neighborhood trick-or-treaters and consuming mass quantities of sugary delights from mysterious sources — razor blades, anyone?

ROOT: How was it having to seduce The Boogeyman, Michael Myers, The shape for this year’s Halloween spread? Was the guy one tough cookie or easy to win over? Any tips for the ladies and / or fellas out there?

Nitro: Seducing Mikey was a real treat. Sure, he was a little distant at first, but I’ve found that every boogeyman really just wants to be loved. My advice to all the gals & ghouls out there is to let the monster in, feed your demons, and enjoy the ride!

ROOT: What are some of your favorite scary movies to watch around Halloween? Any recommendations?

Nitro: Of course I’ll always love the standard classics. Personal favorites include “The Shining” and the original “Psycho” with Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates. Kubrick & Hitchcock manipulate suspense in such a brilliant and beautiful way! (Fun fact: my cat’s full name is Simon Anthony Purrkins.) If you really wanna get mind-fucked, though, I recommend the 1979 flick, “Phantasm,” or any South Korean horror films, like “The Doll Master.” Yikes!

ROOT: If you could pick one song to be the soundtrack to your Halloween Devil Girl spread, what would it be?

Nitro: Nina Simone’s version of “I Put a Spell on You” wink emoticon

DAMN fine selection,Liquid NitroJeanne! Well, Gang, without any further a due, sink your teeth into the slasher seduction depravity of Halloween Devil Girl,Liquid NitroJeanne! Oh, and of course, have a Trashy Halloween!

(NSFW) Maiden Detroit & The Primal Root: Devil Girl and Devil Guy October 2015

Hey Gang, The Primal Root here, and I am extremely proud to not only be the very first Devil Guy featured on The Trash Cinema Collective, but to be sharing this honor with the gorgeous and remarkable Devil Girl, Maiden Detroit and to have been photographed by the remarkably talented, gorgeous and uncanny love of my live, Ms. Bootsie Kidd. The stars aligned and we created a photo spread I am incredibly proud of. Something I’ve been dreaming of for years and, through the kindness and creativity of my friends in The Trash Cinema Collective, has been brought to glorious, bloody life. Before we take a look at our Devil Girl/Devil Boy Texas Chainsaw Massacre inspired spread, let’s get to know our subjects, shall we?

Maiden Detroit Interviewed by The Primal Root

Root: We’re so fucking happy to have you back in the Devil Girl fold, Maiden. What prompted your return?

Maiden: When the opportunity to be apart of the first Devil Guy shoot presents itself you don’t say no. Done deal, Ass up, tits out!

Root: How was it working so intimately with The Primal Root and Bootsie Kidd?

Maiden: Coming up to the set as the first shots were being taken, seeing the ease in which Bootsie and Root worked together; Chainsaw in the air, apron on and little to nothing else. I immediately felt at home. Bootsie’s ability to direct so gracefully with steady encouragement made being strung up incredibly comfortable. I am sure Root was just as nervous, as I, but you would not have known. There were some intense scenes: head knocking, hair pulling, body dragging and a lot of BLOOD. It was sticky mess, but I’d work with these two again in a heartbeat (so long as my heart continues to beat.)

Root: Got any cool plans for this Halloween? What are you dressing up as? What will you be drinking? What’s the Trashiest wish you’re filthy heart is hoping for this Halloween?

Maiden: Turns out, I know these really two cool cats who are throwing a Haunted Hootenanny. So, after working I will most certainly be there. I will be dressed in my finest blood soaked garb, drinking PBR, whiskey, wine, blood and whatever else ends up in my hand. I know that it is going to be a blast. As for a trashy Halloween wish, I want all the adults get their treats from tricks. Trix are not just for kids.

Root: Can you give us some of your favorite Trashy Halloween movie selections you like to watch this time of year?

Maiden: Hmm…that’s a tough one. I’m kind of a horror junkie. I guess I might have a thing for the “tortured” baddies. I really like a nice Ciante. Hannibal Lecter is sexy as hell, so Silence of the Lambs. Hellraiser introduced me to Pinhead and I have never been able to get him out of my mind. There is something about that puzzlebox. Oh, and the bondage 😉 Freddy Kruger and his Nightmare on Elm Street has always been my favorite. After all, he was my first.

Root: If you could pick one song to be the soundtrack for our Trash Cinema Collective Gang to view this spread to, what would it be?

Maiden: It would absolutely have to be “Let Me Love You To Death,” by Type O Negative.

“Now close those eyes and let me love you to death!”

The Primal Root Interviewed by Bootsie Kidd

Boots: So, Primal Root, you’ve had The Trash Cinema Collective blog up and the Notorious Devil Girls as a staple feature for going on six years now, What prompted you to brave being the very first Devil Boy? What Now?

Root: Well, to be honest, I’ve always felt kind of lame seeking out Devil Girls and never taking the plunge and risking getting nekkid myself for a photo spread featured on my own blog. I never want to ask someone to do something I would never ever do myself. The horror market is so intensely saturated with nude women in horror scenarios but never guys. It’s always felt really one sided to me. For such a progressive genre, there seems to be very little in the way of equal play in these sorts of flicks. So, I figured, since i am a nudist with deep, abiding love for all things Trash Cinema, I might as well get nekkid and pay homage to one of my all time favorite horror films, the savage slice of cinema, Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Plus, this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and I am incredibly happy and proud with how this spread turned out.

Bootsie: Okay, let’s take it back a turn, what are your earliest most vivd memories of horror films?

Root: Oh man, that’s a good one. I remember being freaked out by the Large Marge moment in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure I always had a fascinating with monster, ghosts and the massacre ever since I was a very little kid. I lived for Ghostbusters and The REAL Ghostbuster animated series as well as Monster Squad, Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, Gremlins and the classic Universal Monster Movies I rented form the library like Dracula, The Wolf Man and Bride of Frankenstein. But, I think the moment which solidified horror as a passion for me was when I saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit? for the first time. When Judge Doom is in the ACME factory, turns his head and reveals himself to be a Toon with this red cartoon eyes, and at the same time confesses to being the murderer of Teddie Valiant with that high pitched, screaming voice, I nearly shit myself. I was terrified, but at the same time totally in awe and in love with how warped and mortifying this was. The creativity and the terror brought it all home and I knew horror was what I lived for. It will forever be my genre.

Bootsie: I think we, and countless fans van agree, Leatherface is unique. What makes him special to you and why did you choose as the subject for this project?

Root: I put on my Leatherface costume for the first time a couple Halloween’s ago and I have never felt more at home in a disguise. Leatherface just suits me somehow. It just seemed a natural choice for me, plus, his character and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre films themselves lent our set a story that pretty much told itself. I was lucky enough to have you as my photographer and the beautiful, brave, up for anything Maiden Detroit to collaborate and shre this spread with. There is a lot of horror here, but there’s also this odd, morbid romance where Leatherface becomes this beautiful woman he has just killed by doning her face. It gross, nasty, in slightly romantic in a very twisted way. I was lucky to have incredible talent to help me bring this spread to life.

Ramonah: Living life, having fun. Making stuff, breaking stuff. I got this adorable pink-toe tarantula. I am feeling pretty fantastic.

PG: Tell us, what inspired this latest set?

Ramonah: The same way I always celebrate it: with The Boondock Saints and booze! I’m going to throw those two films on back-to-back and drink some gin-based deliciousness. What’s that? Tuesday? What are you— No, it’s St. Patrick’s Day. What do you mean, “Tuesday”? Pfft.

PG:  What tunes should we listen to while viewing this set?
Ramonah: “Jingle Bells”. Wait, no! “The Saints are Coming.” Duh. 😉

Lala: Devil Girl of the Month, October 2014

Happy October, Gang! The Primal Root here, excited beyond compare to introduce you all to our gorgeous, wicked and ravishing October Devil Girl of the Month, Lala. Before you feast your eyes on her phenomenal photo spread, let’s take a moment to get to know this femme fatale with a taste for all things horror.
The Primal Root: Lala, it’s an honor to feature you as our October Devil Girl of the Month! Tell us a little bit about yourself, what you’re up, what your interests are.
Lala: I’m really tickled pink to be picked for October’s Devil Girl, thank you muchly! A bit about myself… Well I’m 24 years of age, born ‘n bred in Milwaukee, WI. I have 2 years of nursing classes under my belt, but I plan on going back for criminal psychology next year.  I live with my boyfriend and his family, although we are scraping together our checks so we can rent an apartment of our own. To have our own space, a place we can truly call our home would be a beautiful thing. I work at my pop’s metal polishing and fabricating shop. Doing mostly grunt work, cleaning, inventory, etc..Interests. Dedicating entire days to nothing but lethargy and horror films, but that’s definitely a given. I’m a voracious reader and anything that is set before me I will devour. Visiting my gramama – she has been like a second mother to me and she is currently living her final days on Earth. Spending time with my boyfriend’s daughter. She’s damn near 2 years old and has a big and bright personality. I take pleasure in the little things. An afternoon with my family or even sharing a comfortable silence with my fella.
TPR: With Halloween fast approaching, I was wondering if you’d care to share your favorite Trashy flicks that get you in the mood?

Lala: Trashyflicks that get me in the mood aye? The People Under the Stairs. Red Dragon. Excision. Mum & Dad. Natural Born Killers. I Spit on Your Grave. Suspiria. Blind Beast. The Woman. Trick ‘R Treat.

TPR: Excellent selections, my dear! Got a costume in mind for this year’s Samhain?

Lala: For this year’s Samhain, I was spit balling with a few different costume ideas. Perhaps Akasha from Queen of the Damned or Coraline. Maybe Cruella DeVille. Cleopatra mayhaps! I’m quite scatterbrained on the subject. Ha
TPR: Oh WOW! Chomping at the bit to see you do those costumes justice. What song should the viewing audience at home listen to while admiring your Devil Girl shots?
Lala: Hmmmm, I think the song Number One Crush by Garbage would be a swell song to listen to when viewing my Devil Girl shots
TPR: Sexy AND creepy! Couldn;t have picked a better song, myself! Gotta ask, which cinematic boogieman do you hope you’ll run into this Halloween?
Lala: Without a doubt, I would love nothing more than to run into Leatherface on Devil’s Night. That would be a Devil Girl’s wet dream.
TPR: You heard her, Leatherface. Get that chainsaw reved up my friend and keep your eyes peeled this Halloween for One Ms. Lala Devil Girl! Alright, Lala, send us off with a favorite Trashy movie quote. Lala: Here’s my trashy quote, the final thought, “Come and get it, you undead sack of shit.” Bubba Ho-Tep
Well, you heard The Devil Girl, come and get it! Enjoy Lala’s sinful, seductive, bewitching October Devil Girl of the Month spread! Hope you have one very sick and twisted October, Gang and a Trashy Halloween!

RC Rabbit: Devil Girl of the Month, September 2014

Hey Gang! Summer 2014 is breathing it’s last humid breath as Autumn closes in. As a salute to the diminishing summertime and the rising of Fall, I can think of no better, more lovely Devil Girl to ring in our most sacred time of the year here at The Trash Cinema Collective than the seductive, mysterious, captivating, RC Rabbit. Our ravishing September Devil Girl of the Month!

The Primal Root: RB, it is a pleasure and quite the honor to have you grace us with your lovely presence again as Devil Girl of the Month. What was your inspiration for this sexy, bloody, Devil Girl spread?

RC Rabbit: I’m not sure of the first vampire movie I saw but I was fascinated. Dark hair, scary eyes, pale skin, I felt at home with them.

Root: Can you share your fake blood recipe with us?

RC: I wish I could but I was lazy and just used stage blood.

Root: Whose blood do you wish it was?

RC: I need some new followers, and some new blood

Root: With Halloween on the horizon, I was wondering if you could share any costumes you might be working on to celebrate Samhain?

RC: While I don’t have a special costume in the works for Samhain, I will be in nature amongst the trees with a crackling fire.

Root: Sounds like paradise to me. Any other cool stuff you’ve been working on you’d care to share with the class?

RC: Have sewing machine will sew. I am enjoying having a machine again and have been filling my closet to the brim with beautiful frocks.

Root: What song should the viewing audience at home listen to while admiring your bloody and bodacious Devil Girl spread?

RC: I have just the song Riboflavin-Flavored, Non-Carbonated, Polyunsaturated Blood…

Root: PERFECTION! Can you send us off with a favorite Trashy movie quote?

RC: While not from a Movie I happen to be fond of this one from The X-Files “Bad Blood”
Mulder: Historically, cemeteries were thought to be a haven for vampires, as are castles, catacombs and swamps, but unfortunately, you don’t have any of those.

“We used to have swamps, only the EPA made us take to calling ’em “wetlands.” – Sheriff Hartwell

Trannysaurus Wrecks; March Devil Girl of the Month (2014)

Hey Gang! Well spring is in the air here at the Trash Cinema Collective, bringing the promise of warm weather, the return of colorful, vibrant plant life, bears come out of hibernation to maul hikers and The Devil Girls start wearing even less clothes than usual! But, I am getting ahead of myself, it is my great pleasure to introduce to you one very cool, alluring and downright provocative Devil Girl to kick off your Spring Fling, Trannysaurus Wrecks! Before you feast your eyes, let’s get to know Trannysaurus a bit better…

The Primal Root: Tell us a little bit about yourself. What are you into? What are your passions, your hobbies, favorite Trashy movies. Working on any projects The Collective should keep their eyes peeled for?

Trannysaurus Wrecks: First and foremost, I am a reader. Since I learned to read at the tender age six, I have been reading anything I could get my hands on, whether or not it was ‘age appropriate’. I devoured tons of comics, fantasy, science fiction, and non-fiction growing up. I’ve developed an appreciation of great literature, but I have never lost my taste for the genre stuff–especially comics. If I’m not reading, I’m probably practicing music. I’ve been beating the drums for about four years now, and I’ve just started to play guitar. My drumming may not be very good (I’m no judge of these things), but it’s certainly passionate. I play for myself, really–I know of no better release for my frustration and anger. I have no attention of ever performing for the public as a musician–but if there ever was an audience for the way I play, it’s The Collective. The Trashy movies I like the most are the ones that just seem to come from left field. I mean those rare gems made by people with no knowledge of how to make a movie, but a completely original vision nonetheless. The best example I can think of is True Stories, a film by the Talking Heads. It’s pretty bad, as movies go, but it is completely unlike anything else I have ever seen.

PR:  Tell us a bit about how you went about putting your photo spread together? What was your inspiration?

TW: When I was asked to do this, I was both honored and intimidated. The women featured here are truly beautiful! I knew there was no way for me to measure up, so I decided to embrace the Trash Cinema aesthetic of celebrating imperfection. I chose a theme: Rock and Roll in rawest, raunchiest, most rebellious form: the Devil’s music. No planning other than that was involved. Then we just ran with it quick and dirty using what was at hand. I told Mina not to photoshop anything. We were going for a raw feel–hopefully it shows!

PR: What song should The Gang listen to while checking out your spread?

TW: “Offend in Every Way” by the White Stripes.

PR: Are there any cinematic characters you feel represent you as a person?

TW: I have never really felt represented by anyone on film. To be honest, I think this has to do with my stubbornly idiosyncratic nature. I define myself in contrast to people, rather than in comparison to them.

PR: What film would you love to see at Trash Cinema Nights at Bird’s Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack?

TW:Forbidden Zone by the Mystic Knights of Oingo Bongo. Man, that film has it all. Cheap, raunchy, and bizarre, Forbidden Zone is a great example of a film that celebrates the strange and imperfect. It’s also a bit of cinematic history, being the first film ever to be scored by Danny Elfman.

PR: Excellent suggestion, Trannysaurus! We shall certainly put Forbidden Zone into consideration and we need to get you booked to play for us at Trash Cinema Nights!  Well, Gang, I feel we’ve  kept you in suspense long enough. Behold, the remarkable, the ovely, the one and only Trannysaurus Wrecks! Be sure to give Ms. Wrecks a warm welcome, Gang!

Stay Trashy!
